 | Wednesday, February 21st, 2024: Texas-Houston Deal: Wood for Wise The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Texas Rangers sent 33-year old starting pitcher Travis Wood to the Houston Astros for 20-year old minor league center fielder Jimmy Davis and 24-year old minor league catcher Vic Wise. Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal. In his career Wood has fanned 1164 batters and walked 573 in 1867.1 innings of work. His lifetime won-lost record is 115 victories and 94 defeats with a 5.09 ERA and opposing hitters have compiled a .283 against him. |
