| Breaking News | | Saturday, October 1st, 2022: NL Best Newcomer Trophy Awarded
Eddie Jones put up eye-catching numbers in September to earn himself the National Rookie of the Month Award.
The right fielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers batted .398 with 8 home runs, 26 RBIs and 17 runs scored as he proved he does deserve to play in the National.
So far this year Jones is hitting .352 with 13 home runs. |
| Sunday, September 18th, 2022: Los Angeles Loses Alejandro Mejía
The Dodgers received bad news this morning. Alejandro Mejía will miss 7 months due to a ruptured disc. In the Los Angeles-Seattle game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Mejía sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."
Mejía has gone to the hill for 76 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 6-7 record with a 8.05 ERA. The Los Angeles reliever has limited opposing batters to a .339 batting average.

| Thursday, September 1st, 2022: NL Picks Rookie of the Month
What a fantastic August it was for Len Fish! The Los Angeles left fielder battered National hurlers for a .350 batting average as he easily claimed the Rookie of the Month Award.
He tallied 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 21 runs scored in the month-long assault. Fish also had 9 walks for a .403 on-base percentage.
If he continues to outpace the rookie class like this, he could very well be the 2022 Recrue de l'année winner.
For the season, Fish is hitting at a .308 clip with 20 home runs, 93 RBIs and has scored 84 runs. He has 159 hits, 55 walks and a .377 on-base percentage.
