Breaking News | | Monday, September 26th, 2022: Hooray for Harris! Hammers 5 Hits! On top of the Cleveland hit parade today was Daniel Harris. He went to the plate 6 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Indians to a 14-11 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. He certainly had their number at the plate in this record-making 5-6 performance.
The sweet swinging second baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."
The skipper of the Reds wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
D. Harris grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off G. Martínez in the 10th.
